Foods could cause cancer but they also can help you beating the breast cancer. There are super foods for breast cancer prevention you must have known. These super foods include:
Broccoli
Broccoli contains some substance called sulforaphane. The researchers believed that this sulforaphance could reduce the breast cancer genes. You also can get sulforaphane in the other cruciferous vegetables like cauliflower, Brussel sprout, kale or cabbage. Do not boil these vegetables since boiling can break down the sulforaphane. It is best to eat it raw, stir fry or steam.
Walnuts
Walnuts are rich with omega-3 fatty acids and anti-oxidants like phytosterols. These two contents would help our body fight against breast cancer cells. They also good as anti-inflammation. That is why walnuts are essential for diet management in women with breast cancer or healthy women.
Fish
Fish like salmon, tuna, mackerel, sardine, sea bass and cod are good to prevent breast cancer. Its lean protein and omega-3 fatty acids contents are the one which give contribution in fighting breast cancer. Eat at least 8 ounces per week to prevent the cancer. If you have limitation to eat fish, you can eat fish oil supplements as the alternative choice.
Soybeans
Soybean has a substance called isoflavone that is similar with the compound of estrogen. Isoflavone is known as anti-cancer including to breast cancer.
Color fruits and vegetables
Fruits and vegetables that have colors of orange, red, yellow, or green are rich with carotenoid, some kind of vitamin A. Women who eat carotenoid foods regularly are reduce the risk of getting breast cancer by 19 percent. So always include fruits and vegetables like carrots, cantaloupe, pumpkin, sweet potato, red pepper, paprika, tomato, and kale to increase the level of carotenoid in your system.
Turmeric
Curcumin contents inside of turmeric contributes to breast cancer. It also can act as anti-inflammatory which could protect your body when there are attacks from microbial.
Green tea
Green tea has antioxidant in its content. It also has catechin which could prevent breast cancer. The antioxidant will protect the cells from any radical agents that would cause cancer. Drink four or more cups of green tea to get the result.
Garlic
Garlic contains of allyl sulfides which affected the regulation of cells in our body. If cell cycling is in under control, the risk of breast cancer will lower. One study said that garlic supplement considered as more super foods for breast cancer prevention than garlic for cooking. Since anti-cancer agents are found more in the supplements. However garlic supplements are contraindication for people with blood thinning.
