Cancer could happened because of many reasons. One of them is food. In this modern era we often found foods that are manipulated by chemical substances, preservatives, additive, or artificial substances. We know that these foods are not good for health and yet we eat them day by day. In this article, we remind you once again about the carcinogenic foods which we often eat daily. Avoid these kind of foods and change your eating habit. Otherwise you will have higher risk of getting cancer.
Fruits and vegetables that have got pesticides
Pesticides have been believed by the scientist could cause cancer. Its residue would spread into our system and lead to the development tumor. Pesticide residues are resistant and hard to be eliminated. The residue would not completely disappear from the fruits and vegetables even though you had washed and peeled them. Choose the organic fruits and vegetables to lessen the risk of cancer.
Processed meats
Processed meats are very popular because they have appealing look and easy to prepare. Preservatives and additives that have been used in processed meats, like sodium nitrite and sodium nitrate, have been proven can increase the risk of colorectal cancer. Processed meats also contains too much salt that would cause chronical disease like hypertension. Stay away from processed meats altogether or at least limit your intake, especially ham, bacon, hotdog and salami, to prevent any chance of cancer in your life.
Sodas
Sodas often used artificial coloring to make them look appealing to drink. There was one study in Singapore said that individuals who drank one or two more sodas per week would have higher risk of pancreatic cancer about 87 percent. Diet soda is even worse. To substitute the sugar, manufacture often used saccharin or aspartame as the sweetener. There is strong connection between saccharin and bladder cancer. Aspartame have been associated to cancer and birth defects too.
Processed carbohydrates
Processed carbohydrates include white bread, cookies, pasta, cakes and white rice. Processed carbs have high glycemic index. It means they have too much sugar contents which could increase the blood sugar levels. Increased blood sugar not only cause diabetes or obesity but cause the cancer. It is because the blood sugar provides energy source to the development of tumor. To prevent cancer, you must avoid or at least limit the intake of processed carbohydrates which consist of refined sugar, flour or starch in their ingredients.
